Our hotel in Barcelona´s Gothic Quarter has 103 standard rooms and five, specially equipped 15m2 rooms with a double bed, to ensure a comfortable and resting stay in Barcelona. They come with large windows and are lovingly decorated. These rooms combine functional wooden furniture with warm cream tones, making them bright and welcoming. The rooms at the Hotel ILUNION Auditori come with either twin beds (0.90m x 1.90m) or with one double bed (1.50m x 1.90m) and are fully equipped with workspace and desk, and a relaxation area with a reading armchair beside the window. All our rooms have their own en-suite bathroom, including bathtub, wardrobe, TV and safe.

The hotel is in an amazing location for exploring Barcelona. It is seemingly a 15 minute walk from everything. There are many good restaurants nearby. The cleaning staff were especially friendly and gave good attention to detail when tidying the room. There was a fridge in the room to store bottled water and complementary water was topped up daily. The shower was amazing with great pressure and temperature. The reception was available 24 hours a day which was handy when checking out for an early flight. The hotel keycard opens the hotel door from outside which affords additional security. There was a safe in the room to store passports etc. The air conditioning worked perfectly to keep the room cool. Some body wash/shampoo was provided and also soap, shaving kit and dental kit. The communal areas of the hotel were very clean and well-maintained.

The room was good in all aspects that matter to me - clean, modern-looking, with comfortable bed and bathroom. The desk was large and comfortable enough to work with laptop, and the desk chair was also comfortable. The location is good, and it looked safe to me; it is in walking distance to the old town, park Ciutadela, Sagrada Familia; nearby bus station and subway, with restaurants, shops, and everything you may need in the walking distance. The hotel parking for 16 EUR / day seems a fair deal for Barcelona, and although it felt tight to park at first without external help (perhaps, it is just me not living in a big city, and thus being used to way more spacious private and public parkings everywhere), it is not that difficult to park into, but requires reasonable driving skills and car control.

People who said that it is overpriced or small room, might compare the hotels with hotels in Southeast Asia or Eastern Europe, where standard is different. One of the best value for money hotels in Barcelona, and considering the location (you can walk 15 mins to Placa Catalunya) with easy access to bus that stops just behind the hotel, I think this is your best bet really. If youre coming from Estacio del Nord, this hotel is just 1 min away.

Breakfast was one of the best. Staff are so polite and kind. Plenty of food to choose from. Amazing to have that much variety.I booked this hotel for its location and it did it. No need to ride a bus or train. It’s in the middle of all sight seeing and seaside.The place is very clean and your room get cleaned daily. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

It was also close to the metro line, a bus stop, and a taxi waiting area. I also couldn't hear other guests in their rooms or in the hallways. The AC worked great even on hot days.
